Here's what you missed pt 2
Great, but! if you thought part 2 would be exciting or some sort, sorry to disappoint, it's pretty much boring stuff. Well, that's because after Grad Serve, it's army and what happens in army is well... 'army-ish'. You know, I'm actually one of those weird people who looked forward to enlisting in the army, for a couple of reasons.
Firstly, at that point in time I totally had no idea what I was going to do or even want to do in the near future. So army could buy me some time to think and consider what God would be planning in my life. Secondly, I kind of think spending two years training and be part of National Service has meaning at many levels no matter how much you hate it. Thirdly, putting my body to the limit and giving my best in all these tough experiences seemed challenging and fun. (Yuki can so understand this. I hope he's reading this) Fourthly, it's a good opportunity to shine for God. (Yuki can understand this too.) Fifthly(fifthly sounds weird), I so wanted to be an officer.
To cut the long story short, I failed to enter into OCS, Officer Cadet School, for whatever reasons and became a Fitness Specialist(FS), or formerly known as Physical Training Instructor(PTI). When I knew I didn't make it to OCS, I was totally devastated, it took me weeks to get over it. I kept formulating reasons for myself why I couldn't make it there but it was only until I entered the FS course then I knew why.
Here's the flow in my army trainee days. Basic Military Training(BMT) > Basic Section Leader's Course (BSLC) > Basic Fitness Specialist Course (BFSC). That's about 9 months in total. I can only thank God for not putting me in OCS. When I was in my FS course, I realised that was where my passion lies. I enjoyed learning about physical training and instructing others into the fun of it. Also helping people adopting it as a healthy lifestyle. God has helped me understood this and I believe He has in store for me other wonders in this area. That was exactly where God wanted me, so no pointing insisting or being sore that I wasn't in OCS. (not that I was unhappy about it)
I've only had pictures of my BMT and BFSC's Passing Out Parade(POP), apparently BSLC isn't very important. (I understand the abbreviations may be confusing for unfamiliar people, but just refer to the top if you need to)

Argg, someone push up my specs!!!

No mom! my specs my specs! push it up!

Piled them together so it wouldn't be graphic intensive.

Hooray! POP loh! Oei that's my cap.
BFSC's POP

We passed out together with ASLC and other sergeant courses.

Superstar finalist in the house! I actually can't find myself here because...

Preventing intensive graphic once again.

Tadaa~ I'm up there holding ENDURE. the other side says EXCEL. I disappeared earlier on to prepare for this!

Ladies and Gentleman I present to you the Finishers of CPFT. We had 2 brunei-ans in our course btw.
So as for now, I'm Pulau Tekong's P.E. teacher... or that's how I tell non-army people about what I do in the army. Although PTI's are quite popular(or infamous), P.E. teacher somewhat feels humble. So, all you people having friends/relatives or you yourself entering Pulau Tekong as a recruit, I might just be your PT... ahem* P.E. teacher. =3. *evil grins*
Since this entry has so many pictures already, I'll post my UFO prize and my cup stacking endeavours in the next post. Till then.
