I'll tell you a secret.

It was seriously no kick. Not a single kick.

I got quite an average timing(1hr 38mins) but, it wasn't exactly tiring. Well, think I haven't been running much regularly to ascertain my lactic threshold, otherwise I would have kicked ass much harder. I think the amount of freebies I have would amount close to a 100. Thanks SAF or whoever sponsoring the Saucony singlet, shirt and tights to the 9 DIV participants! Yummy MAX!

I got really prepared by some people for the mayhem at the swimming part. Here's what they always say: kicks to the face, jabs to the trunk, elbow knocking off goggles, urine, pulling, water choking. I'm sure that did happen today but surprisingly my goggles stayed throughout! Thank God. Was pretty chaotic but not as bad as I thought, there was a guy who turned to look back at me when he kicked me, that was so polite.

Actually it was pretty amusing, I enjoyed the swim in fact! well, being my first biathlon maybe I can't conclusively say yet. It was so funny at the turning points, I swerved very much to the right when I was turning to the left(aqua tokyo drift!), that was immense suction force of 400 over people swimming, it's just funny when it happens to you, and then you look around you, it's also happening to everyone. I thought I heard someone laughed then.

Weird thoughts came to my mind when I was about halfway through the swim. I was like, hey there's so many of us here, aren't we attracting like lots of predators? I mean most big predators to move from place to place where the prey schools. What if... what if... some big black fish bigger then me chomps on my leg and drags me down to the watery depths and I meet my end!(Hey it's a coastal swim okay, it's not impossible) Well Jonah got swallowed too, maybe not too bad. And then someone just scraped my side, well just have to go faster ahead of that ding dong to get him out of the way.

Well the 'suckiest' part is not that I have to settle for XS because they don't have S for the finisher shirt, or that I didn't bring slippers to bathe or I lost to teng feng by a few mins. What was so sad to me was, I didn't get my own finisher shot. You know the kind where nearing the finishing line, and people begins to go faster having the end line as the only focus in that moment. That glimpse of glory wasn't captured. I'm so going to find a girlfriend to do it next time round. Core criteria, otherwise, thank you miss, you're free to go. I'm still so sore, not having the shot. Now I know what girlfriends are for.
